Collar drill bushing DIN 172 form A, bore 2.8 mm, length 16 mm, collar 9 mm, hardened steel

This bushing of the long series guides drills of 2.8 mm diameter over 16 mm. The collar with 2.5 mm height stops the bushing from being pushed down through the holder during machining and sets its height clearly.

Applications

It is used wherever holes of 2.8 mm have to be produced without centre punching and without wandering, for example in jigs for series parts, in assembly gauges or in prototype work.

Standard and material

The basis is DIN 172, form A, with a guiding bore of 2.8 mm. In form A the bore is rounded only on the side of the collar. The material is case-hardening steel, hardened to 740 ± 80 HV 10 and ground afterwards.
