About Autogenous welding and cutting torch sets

Oxy-fuel welding and cutting torch sets bring the handle, welding inserts, cutting insert and accessories together in one box. Welding, cutting, brazing and heating are covered with a single tool and without electrical power on site. All sets use the 17 mm shank diameter, the most common size of the standard torch.

What matters when choosing

• Welding range: the sets differ in the number of welding inserts and therefore in the material thickness covered, from 0.5 to 4 mm with three inserts up to 0.5 to 30 mm with eight. The deciding factor is the thickest section welded regularly.
• Cutting range: 3 to 100 mm across all sets. The range is covered by the cutting insert supplied with the respective box.
• Nozzle type: ring nozzles or block nozzles. The choice follows the equipment already in use, so replacement nozzles from your own stock still fit.
• Cutting insert: wing or lever version. The lever insert sits steadier in the hand on longer cuts, the wing version is more compact.
• Gas type and shank diameter: both are stated per item and have to match the existing cylinder and hose equipment before a set is ordered.
