5/3-way solenoid valve, closed centre, G 1/8, 490 l/min, 24 V AC, standard connector - YPC SF2303

The SF2303 drives a double-acting cylinder in both directions and can stop it in between. With both solenoids de-energised, springs centre the spool, all working ports are blocked and the air stays trapped in both cylinder chambers. At 5 bar up to 490 l/min pass through the G 1/8 ports. The 24 V AC coil is meant for control circuits fed with alternating voltage from a safety transformer.

Advantages

• In the centre position all ports are blocked, so the cylinder stops where it is.
• Oil-free operation, no lubrication required. If the air is oiled, use ISO VG32.
• Coil without polarity, insulation class F, removable, drawing 4.5 VA at 24 V AC.
• Switching time of 35 ms max. at 5 bar and up to 3 Hz switching frequency for short machine cycles.

Applications

• Set-up mode, where the operator moves an axis step by step.
• Stopping a cylinder at an intermediate position, for example when positioning lifting units.
• Older control systems with 24 V AC, where a valve of the same design is being replaced.

Accessories and spare parts

The replacement solenoid coil, type L for 24 V AC, is available separately. The valve uses two of them. Several valves can be combined on an SF2000 series manifold with 2 to 14 stations, with supply and exhaust ports in size 1/4.
