About X-unions

A push-in X-connector splits one line into four ports in a cross layout, with the tubes pushed in by hand and held by the collet. At a branch point that replaces several individual fittings. The range covers tube outside diameters from 4 to 16 mm, with working pressure up to 10 or 20 bar depending on the version.

What matters when choosing

• For tube O.D.: 4 to 16 mm. The outside diameter of the tube is what counts, because that is the surface the collet grips.
• Material: plastic with nickel-plated brass, nickel-plated brass or stainless steel 1.4404. Nickel-plated brass is the standard choice for compressed air, stainless steel 1.4404 is used where the surroundings or the medium are aggressive.
• Sealant: NBR or FKM, FPM. NBR covers ordinary compressed air duty, FKM takes the higher temperatures up to 150 °C.
• Working pressure: 10 to 20 bar maximum, down to -0.99 to -0.95 bar. That makes the connectors usable on vacuum lines as well.
• Series: Blue Series, click-clock or inox line. The series fixes the material and temperature combination. Operating temperature starts at -20 °C and ends at 80 °C or 150 °C depending on the version.

• Cross distribution of control air on valve terminals and cylinder groups
• Branching blow-off air lines on conveyors and blow-off stations
• Vacuum lines on suction cups, since working pressure reaches down to -0.99 bar
• Plant sections handling corrosive media, where the stainless steel 1.4404 version applies

The 15 items come in plastic with nickel-plated brass, in nickel-plated brass and in stainless steel 1.4404, sealed with NBR or FKM, FPM. Production is in Italy, India and China.
