About Banjo elbows

An angled pivot fitting takes the hose out of the port at a right angle and stays rotatable, so the direction of the outlet can still be set after screwing it in. That avoids forced bends at the cylinder or valve and extends hose life. Hoses with outside diameters from 4 to 12 mm can be connected.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: M5, G 1/8, G 1/4, G 3/8 or G 1/2, all male. The port on the valve, cylinder or manifold decides. On the male versions an O-ring in the groove at the end of the thread does the sealing.
• For tube O.D.: 4 to 12 mm, with part of the range also defined by an inside diameter of 3 to 10 mm. Both figures have to match the hose in use, otherwise the collet will not hold.
• Working pressure: -0.98 bar to 16 bar is documented, other versions reach 18 bar. The negative figure shows the joint stays tight under vacuum as well.
• Sealant: NBR, silicone-free NBR or PVC. The silicone-free version belongs in areas where painting or coating takes place.
• Operating temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C, up to 80 °C depending on version. This limits installation close to warm units and dryers.

• Tubing valve terminals and directional valves inside the control cabinet
• Handling equipment with moving hoses, where the rotatable outlet prevents kinks
• Vacuum applications with suction cups and ejectors, covered down to -0.98 bar
• Assembly and test fixtures in tool and jig making

All 31 items have a nickel-plated brass body and are sealed with NBR, silicone-free NBR or PVC. Production is in Italy and Germany.
