Resistance thermometer, TR10-C, 1xPt100, 4-wire, class A, G 1/2, -30 to 300 °C, with terminal block, insertion length: 160 mm Resistance thermometers of this series are designed for screw-fitting directly into the process, mainly in vessels and pipelines. They are suitable for liquid and gaseous media under moderate mechanical load an normal chemical conditions. The protection tube from stainless steel is fully welded and screwed into the connection head. The interchangeable measuring insert can be removed without taking out the complete sensor from the plant. This enables inspection, measuring equipment monitoring or, when servicing is necessary, replacement while the plant is running. The choice of standard lengths assists with short delivery times and the possibility of stocking spare parts.

About Resistance thermometers

Resistance thermometers measure process temperature in vessels and pipework and screw straight into the process with a G 1/2 male thread. They suit liquid and gaseous media under moderate mechanical load and normal chemical stress. The group holds 26 versions, either with a terminal block or with a built-in transmitter.

What matters when choosing

• Output signal and transmitter: the terminal block version passes the Pt resistance signal on directly, while the transmitter version gives 4 - 20 mA and can be wired to the control system without a separate converter.
• Insertion length follows pipe diameter and the immersion depth you want. Lengths of 50, 100, 160, 250 and 400 mm are among those available.
• Measuring span: the TR10-C series is rated -30 to 300 °C, the compact TR36 series -30 to 150 °C.
• Housing in CrNi steel 1.4571 or aluminium. The stainless housing belongs in wash-down and corrosive areas, aluminium is enough in dry machine surroundings.
• Protection IP 65 or IP 67. IP 67 is the choice where temporary flooding or intensive cleaning has to be expected.
