Corner safety valve, for saturated steam and compressed air, G 3/4", DN 13, 1.7 bar, gunmetal

A steam boiler must not exceed its permissible working pressure, not even when the control system fails. This corner safety valve opens at a fixed set pressure of 1.7 bar and releases the excess pressure to atmosphere. The connection is G 3/4" with a nominal size of DN 13. The discharge capacity is 73 m³/h of compressed air. A gunmetal body, a spring steel spring and a seal of EPDM cover the temperature range of -40 to +150 °C.

Applications

Pressure vessels in plant engineering with nominal size DN 13. Protection of headers with a discharge capacity of 73 m³/h. Test rigs and experimental setups limited to 1.7 bar. Installation in tight spaces where the corner design with 31 mm face-to-centre length saves room.

Standards and conformity

The valve is type tested and carries the component identification TÜV-SV...-312.13.D/G.0,28 CE0036 1,7 bar. It is supplied with a fixed setting only, so the set pressure of 1.7 bar cannot be altered. A setting certificate to 3.1 is available on request. The version is approved for saturated steam and for steam boilers to TRD group 1.
