T-piece 130, IT/IT/IT, Rp 3/8, Operating temperature -20°C to 300°C, black malleable cast iron, Hot-dip galvanised, DIN EN 10242 Acc. to DIN EN 10242 (formerly DIN 2950) The classic - and the most popular - screw fitting series for pipe construction. These fittings are characterized by their high mechanical strength and surface quality to DIN 2444. They are completely coated with a layer of pure zinc and are therefore suitable for drinking water

About Tees

A tee branches a pipe run at a right angle without extra elbows and nipples. The range covers Rp 1/4 through Rp 3, with threads to ISO 7-1. The material is black malleable cast iron B350-10 throughout.

What matters when choosing

• Thread 1 as the run size: available from Rp 1/4 to Rp 3 female. It follows the nominal size of the main line.
• Thread 2 for the branch: Rp 1/4 to Rp 2 1/2 female, plus versions with R 3/8, R 1/2 and R 1 male thread that save an additional nipple.
• Reducing version where the branch is to be smaller than the run. 29 of the 74 articles are built this way.
• Thread standard ISO 7-1: the seal is made on the thread itself, though a suitable sealing compound still belongs to the installation.
• Size step: with strongly reducing branches it is worth checking flow velocity in the smaller leg so that pressure loss stays acceptable.
