About Accessories for pressure gauges

Pressure gauge accessories link the instrument to the process and at the same time protect it from that process. Shut-off valves isolate the measuring point for testing and instrument changes, siphons in U shape or coil shape keep hot media away from the movement, adapters and sockets match the threads. The group covers pressure ratings from PN 6 to PN 1600 bar.

What matters when choosing

• PN: from 6 to 1600 bar. The rating of the accessory must be at least that of the gauge and of the process connection.
• Version: shut-off valves come as spigot / clamping socket, socket / socket, socket / spigot and spigot / rotating socket, optionally with test flange 60x25x10 or test spigot M20x1.5. Siphons are available in U shape and coil shape, each with connecting spigot or with welded connection on the pressure tapping side.
• Thread: process side male threads from G 1/8 to G 1/2 plus M12x1.5 and M20x1.5, instrument side female threads from G 1/8 to G 1/2.
• Material: brass and blued steel for standard duty, stainless steel 1.4571 as well as CrNi steel 1.4571 and 1.4404 for aggressive media, plus copper, PTFE, plastic, glass and rubber in seals and accessory parts.
• Sealing material: PTFE, NBR or FKM, chosen by medium and temperature. Operating temperature is quoted as minimum -20 °C to -10 °C and maximum 120 °C to 200 °C.

• Protecting the movement from hot media on steam and hot water lines by means of a siphon
• Connecting test gauges through a test spigot M20x1.5 or a test flange
• Measuring points on pumps, compressors and hydraulic power units at high pressure ratings
• Aggressive media in chemical and electroplating plants using CrNi steel components

The gauge shut-off valves in this group are built to DIN 16270 and DIN 16271. Sealing materials are PTFE, NBR and FKM, and production takes place in Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and India.
