About Banjo elbows

A swivel elbow fitting turns the pipe run through 90 degrees and can be aimed in the outlet direction without opening the sealing point. The range connects tubes from 4 to 28 mm outside diameter and is rated for nominal pressures of 100 to 400 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Tube outside diameter from 4 to 28 mm defines the cutting ring and the nut and has to match the installed tube exactly.
• Nominal pressure PN runs from 100 to 400 bar and falls as tube diameter grows, so check the figure for the specific size.
• Threads come in BSP versions from G 1/8 to G 1/2 male and metric versions from M8x1.0 to M33x2.0 male.
• Material is zinc-plated steel to DIN 2353 for the high pressure versions or nickel-plated brass for the versions limited to 60 bar operating pressure.
• Spanner sizes SW 1 and SW 2 together with lengths L1 and L2 show how much room assembly and tooling require.

• Hydraulic power units where the line direction is fixed only during installation.
• Connecting cylinders and valve blocks in machine tools and presses.
