About Ferrule

The cutting ring is the sealing element of a compression fitting. As the nut is tightened it bites into the tube and holds the joint, in this group at PN 100 to 630 bar. It is bought individually as a wear and spare part, matched to the tube outside diameter.

What matters when choosing

• Tube outside diameter from 4 to 28 mm is the first criterion. The ring only suits the exact tube size, there is no intermediate step.
• PN from 100 to 630 bar follows the fitting the ring is used in. Ring and fitting have to come from the same series.
• Material: galvanised steel to DIN 2353, stainless steel 1.4571 or bright brass. Matching the material of tube and fitting is the sensible route.
• A maximum operating pressure of 60 bar is stated for the bright brass versions, which are rated well below the steel ones.
• Length L1 is given per article and helps to identify a removed ring correctly when reordering.
