About Storz couplings and accessories

Storz couplings connect hose lines through symmetrical lugs rather than a thread, so every half mates with any other half of the same size. Connecting and releasing is done by hand, including with gloves on and under time pressure. The 200 items in this group are rated for up to 16 bar operating pressure.

What matters when choosing

• Storz size and lug spacing decide what fits together. The range includes 25-D, 52-C, 65, 75-B, 100 and 110-A among others, with lug spacings from 31 to 133 mm.
• Material follows the field of use. Forged aluminium for fire services, water supply and plant construction, stainless steel V4A for plant construction, shipbuilding and the chemical industry, plus brass, steel and malleable cast iron.
• Seal material is available in NBR and FKM and, together with the body, sets the temperature window. Documented values are -40 °C to 110 °C for the aluminium version and -15 °C to 200 °C in V4A.
• The mating side determines the design. Available are flange adapters, versions with male threads G 1, G 2 and G 2 1/2, and nozzles with a rubberised grip and adjustable protective spray.
• Where installation space is limited, check the overall length, which is stated as 54 to 170 mm.

The series is produced as a forged design and rated at a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar, and the two coupling halves engage without straining the seal. All 200 items originate in Germany.
