A circuit whose target pressure sits at a few bar in one step and close to 300 bar in the next needs a relief valve with a wide setting band. This pilot-operated size 10 valve covers 2.2 to 315 bar and passes up to 250 l/min to tank. Unloading is handled by a mounted directional seat valve with a 24 VDC solenoid.

Application

Piped power units with changing pressure steps, clamping circuits and test equipment use a valve of this design as the system limit. Three ports are available for the piping. The solenoid unloading lets the pump idle at almost no pressure between two cycles. A range that starts at 2.2 bar also allows fine settings in the lower pressure band.
