On machines and test rigs, lines are disconnected and reconnected several times a day. The Multi Cupla series from Nitto Kohki covers that job with 120 versions in brass, steel or stainless steel, each available as a socket and as the matching plug.

• Bodies in brass, steel or stainless steel (SUS), so the coupling suits the environment at the installation point.
• Seals in NBR or FKM, which lets the material pairing be matched to the medium being carried.

Series comparison

MULTI CUPLA MAM Type suits manual plate changes on air lines at 0.7 MPa {7 kgf/cm2}, where a valve on the socket side alone is sufficient. Where the ports must stay closed on both sides, MAM-A Type and MAM-B Type are rated 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} with two-way shut-off, and MAS Type and MAT Type reach 7.0 MPa {71 kgf/cm2}. MALC Type covers 1.0 MPa {10 kgf/cm2} up to 25.0 MPa {255 kgf/cm2} depending on the version.
