About Spray guns

Spray guns apply liquids such as cleaning agents, release agents or lubricants using compressed air, drawing them from an attached cup. The spray pattern is set at the adjustable nozzle and the quantity via a throttle. The group covers operating pressures from 3 to 16 bar and includes spare cups alongside the guns.

What matters when choosing

• Operating pressure: the versions are rated from 3 to 16 bar, one of them additionally states a working range of 2 to 8 bar. The available line pressure has a say in the choice.
• Type of connection: nipple I.D. 7.2 to 7.8. The coupling on the hose has to match that size, otherwise an adapter is needed.
• Material: plastic or nickel-plated aluminium. The plastic version is lighter, the metal version takes more mechanical load.
• Container: the cups hold 0.7 to 1.2 litres and are listed separately as spare parts. A pump sprayer with 0.9 litres rounds off the range for hand operation without compressed air.
• Operating temperature: lower limits are -10 to -5 °C and upper limits 30 to 90 °C depending on the version. That restricts outdoor use and mounting on warm machines.
