About Industrial adhesives

Anaerobic adhesives cure in the gap between two metal parts once air is excluded, locking screws, threads and mating faces against vibration loosening and leakage. The 16 products in this group are rated from -60 °C to 200 °C and come in container sizes from 10 ml to 250 ml.

What matters when choosing

• Strength low, medium or high: low strength stays easy to dismantle, medium strength is the normal choice for screw locking, high strength is hard to release again.
• Application: screw and thread locking, pipe and thread sealing or face sealing. This decides which type is a candidate at all.
• Viscosity from low to high: thin grades creep into narrow gaps and into joints that are already assembled, thick grades stay put on vertical faces and in wide gaps.
• Thread size: the types are specified for threads up to M12, M 20, M 36, M 56 or M 80. A grade rated too small will not hold the breakaway torque on a large thread.
• Container size 10 ml, 50 ml or 250 ml: the small bottle usually covers maintenance work, series assembly makes the larger container worthwhile.
