About X-unions

The cross connection brings four hose ends together at one point and splits a supply line into three directions. In tight installations it saves the space that two separate tees would need. The range covers hose 5/3 to 10/8 mm at a working pressure up to 18 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Hose size: tube outside diameter 5 to 10 mm with inside diameter 3 to 8 mm. Both figures have to match the hose in use, otherwise the hose is not clamped properly.
• Working pressure: max. 18 bar across all four sizes. Where system pressure is higher, a fitting with a higher rating belongs in that place.
• Width across flats: AF 8, AF 10 or AF 12 depending on size. The installation space has to take the spanner.
• Material: nickel plated brass throughout. The range is not intended for media that attack brass.
• Operating temperature: -20 °C to 300 °C. In practice the hose usually sets the limit rather than the connection.
