About Banjo bolts and ring nipples

A banjo bolt and a banjo fitting together form a connection whose hose outlet can still be turned after tightening. Hoses from 4 to 12 mm outside diameter are accepted and the working pressure runs from -0.98 bar under vacuum up to 16 bar. That allows cylinders and valves to be connected where a rigid fitting no longer fits.

What matters when choosing

• Bolt threads run from M5 male through G 1/8 and G 1/4 male up to G 3/8 and G 1/2 male. The parallel threads follow DIN EN ISO 228-1.
• Hose outside diameter of 4 to 12 mm has to match the tubing in use, since each fitting is built for one size only.
• Material separates the series. click-clock is nickel-plated brass, inox line is stainless steel 1.4404, and aluminium versions are available as well.
• The sealing material - NBR, FKM, FPM or PTFE - sets the temperature limit. The usual range is -20 °C to 70 °C, while heat-resistant versions reach 150 °C.
• For vacuum work, check the lower working pressure of -0.98 bar. Compressed air is rated up to 16 bar.

• Valve manifolds and control blocks where hose direction is only decided during assembly.
• Jig and tool building with tight routing.
• Handling equipment with suction cups working down to -0.98 bar.
• Plant areas where nickel-plated brass is not enough and stainless steel 1.4404 is specified.

Threads comply with DIN EN ISO 228-1 and the stated medium is compressed air. Production takes place in Italy and Germany, and the group holds 46 articles.
