Power and Check Valves
SMC check valves allow compressed air to pass in one direction only and block the reverse direction. Sample products are the metric AK series and the AKB series with push-in fitting and combinations of male and female thread.
The range holds more than 92 items with various port sizes. The valves are used to prevent backflow and to hold pressure in defined line sections.
A check valve opens for flow in the forward direction and closes for pressure in the reverse direction. Typical applications are securing air reservoirs, preventing backflow in branched networks and holding pressure during a supply failure.
