SMC rotary actuators generate a pneumatic rotary motion over a defined angle and are used to turn, swivel and position workpieces. The C(D)RB series works on the rotary vane principle and covers swing angles up to 270 degrees.
The range comprises more than 509 items in various sizes and torque classes, many versions offering switch mounting. This allows different loads and swing angles to be realised.
Rotary actuators are used in handling and assembly systems to turn, swivel and reposition workpieces and to operate flaps and valves. The rotary vane drive delivers an even torque across the entire swing range.
