Festo diaphragm actuators and bellows cylinders comprise 14 items and generate short, powerful strokes without sliding seals. The range includes bellows cylinders of the EB series.
Bellows cylinders use an elastic folded bellows instead of a piston and seal, which makes them low in friction and maintenance. They suit high forces over a short stroke, for example for lifting, clamping and vibration isolation.
Diaphragm actuators and bellows cylinders are used where high forces are required over short distances and sliding seals are to be avoided. Typical tasks are lifting, clamping, pressing and the isolation of vibrations.
