About Handheld tyre gauges

A handheld tyre gauge checks, corrects and reads tyre pressure straight from the compressed air line, with no need to swap connectors between filling and measuring. Depending on the version, the measuring range of the 25 gauges ends between 4 and 12 bar. All of them show the pressure in psi as well.

What matters when choosing

• Measuring range max. 4 to 12 bar: the range should end just above the highest filling pressure that occurs in service. Gauges up to 12 bar also cover commercial vehicle tyres.
• Version with lever connector, quick connector, double-sided garage connector or QUIK-LOK connector: the connector has to suit the valve and how easily the wheel can be reached. The double-sided garage connector also reaches twin tyres.
• Gauge diameter and display type are listed per item. A larger dial is easier to read across a workshop, digital units stay legible in poor light.
• Hose connection and hose length decide how far from the coupling you can reach the tyre. A swivelling hose does not twist when the connector is fitted.
• The measuring range is stated in both bar and psi, which helps when vehicle or manufacturer data is given in psi.
