Filter regulator »SYNTESI«, size 2, w/o bushings, 20 µm, p1 = max. 10 bar, p2 = 0…2 bar, RA fully autom., T = -10…50 °C, w/o gauge Filter regulators based on the »SYNTESI« series filters and regulators, combining their performance and advantages. - Condensate drains RMSA semi-automatic or RA fully automatic. SAC fully automatic on request. - Degree of filtration 20 µm (sufficient for most applications) or 5 µm. 50 µm on request. - Regulator with rolling diaphragm with maximum precision and flow rate as well as minimal friction. - Compensation of upstream pressure changes. The RMSA drain closes at approx. 1 bar and drains when depressurized. It can be locked manually if required. The RA drain discharges condensate from the container automatically whenever necessary, regardless of the pressure level. The SAC tap drains the condensate only as the result of sudden changes in compressed air requests. The adjustment knob is the push-lock type with the additional possibility to secure with padlocks. There is a port on the front and back (G 1/8 for size 1 and G 1/4 for size 2) which can be used for pressure gauges, pressure switches or, taking into account the high flow rates, as an additional air outlet. Pressure gauge not included in delivery! ATEX version on request!

About Filter regulators

A filter regulator combines particle separation and pressure control in one body, which saves a connection point in the air preparation unit. The range filters at 5 to 50 µm and regulates to outlet pressures between 1 and 17.5 bar. Permissible inlet pressure runs from 10 to 60 bar depending on version.

What matters when choosing

• Thread and DN: Ports run from G 1/8 to G 1, nominal bores from 5 to 25 mm. Thread size alone is not enough as a criterion, because only the nominal bore describes the actual flow cross section.
• Filter rating: 5 to 50 µm. The coarse end is enough for general tool and cylinder supply, finer elements protect sensitive valve technology and trade that against a higher pressure drop.
• Control range and inlet pressure: Lower limits lie between 0 and 1.7 bar, upper limits between 1 and 17.5 bar. The target working pressure should sit inside the range rather than at its edge, and the inlet pressure of 10 to 60 bar has to match the supply.
• Flow rate: Listed values run from 1000 to 15000 l/min. What counts is the peak demand of all downstream consumers, not their average.
• Condensate drain: Manual drain, hand drain valve, semi-automatic and fully automatic versions are available, including a normally closed type. Where the unit sits in a poorly accessible spot, the fully automatic drain is the practical option.

Documented sealing materials are NBR, PU with HNBR and FKM. Housing materials include PA66 GF60, technopolymer, zinc and aluminium die casting as well as stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) and 1.4401 (AISI 316).
