The gas mixing nozzles ensure that, in the event of flashback, no oxygen-fuel gas mixture can flash back into the torch through the gas hole.The cutting oxygen is activated by levers. About Single-cutting torch

Single cutting torches sever steel by oxy-fuel cutting, and the torches in this group are rated for cuts up to a material thickness of 500 mm. Connection is by the male threads G 1/4 and G 3/8 with left-hand thread, and the torch tubes come in lengths of 500, 750 and 1200 mm. The matching gas-mixing cutting nozzles belong to the same group.

What matters when choosing

• Length 500, 750 or 1200 mm: the long versions keep distance from heat and sparks, the short one is easier to handle in confined spots.
• Nozzle head angle 75° or 90°, depending on whether the torch is guided at an angle or square to the workpiece.
• Cutting nozzle by cutting range: the gas-mixing nozzles are available in the steps 3 to 6, 5 to 12, 10 to 75 and 70 to 100 mm. Torches ship without a nozzle, so the nozzle has to be matched separately to the plate thickness.
• Gas type and the operating pressures for oxygen and fuel gas are stated on every item and must suit the existing supply. Fuel gas consumption is listed as well.
• Material: the group includes versions in copper, in brass, and in brass combined with CrNi steel, stainless steel, aluminium or steel.
