Flowmeter »FLUX«, size 2, 0 … 10 V/4 … 20 mA - Riegler 148203

Flowmeter »FLUX«, size 2, 0…4000 Nl/min, G 1, p1 = 0…10 bar, T = 0…50 °C, 12…24 V DC, PNP, with display/pressure sensor/WiFi Thermal flowmeters of the »FLUX« series are the ideal solution for monitoring changes in flow and consumption, as well as for measuring leaks and energy efficiency. All flowmeters come with an M12 connection for power supply and signal management plus an analogue output that can be set to either voltage or current. For best results, use a straight pipe with a constant cross section and a minimum length according to the table (see data sheet). If straight piping is not installed, the accuracy may vary from what is stated. They are available in two main versions: with or without built-in display. The versions with display provide an intuitive user interface for several real-time information, including: - flow rate, pressure and temperature - graphs showing instant and cumulative quantities - power consumption to generate the measured flow The wireless versions can communicate, through the dedicated "Metal Work FluxUP" app, both with Ethernet networks (via the MQTT protocol) and with mobile devices via Bluetooth®. In addition to displaying the measured values in real time, this app can be used to change all flowmeter settings and display the relevant data. »FLUX« of sizes 1 and 2 can be mounted on »SYNTESI« maintenance units of sizes 1 and 2. If the device is fitted with a Syntesi® filter, the SYN filter parameter must be enabled in the system menu to guarantee the stated accuracy (function available only for the version with display). If the »SYNTESI« is fitted at the outlet of the »FLUX«, the straight pipe on the inlet side must still be guaranteed. »FLUX« of sizes 3 and 4 are installed directly in the pipes. Due to their size and weight, they are not intended for direct installation on maintenance units.

About Flowmeter
Flow meters record air consumption of single machines or of entire network sections and expose leakage before it shows up on the energy bill. The units run on compressed air and neutral gases at maximum operating pressures of 8 to 16 bar, and part of the range measures down to -0.9 bar into the vacuum region.
What matters when choosing
- Size BG 0 to 4 sets the measurable flow rate. Choose it from the actual consumption of the machine rather than from the pipe cross section.
- Thread and DN: female threads from G 1/2 to G 2, male threads from R 1/4 to R 2 and nominal widths DN 8 to 50 mm are available. Small consumers connect through the Ø 8 mm push-in port.
- Analogue or IO-Link version: analogue fits existing current-loop evaluation, IO-Link delivers reading and diagnostics straight to the controller.
- Series FLUX, FLUX 0 or FUTURA together with the function set: pure flow meters exist alongside combined units with switching output, pressure gauge, thermometer and pressure switch.
- Protection class and housing: IP 65 in an aluminium housing for the machine floor, IP 40 in a technopolymer housing for protected installation.
Typical applications
- Metering consumption per machine to allocate compressed air cost
- Tracing leakage in network sections by comparing night and shift consumption
- Permanent monitoring of blow-off and purge air, where rising demand points to worn nozzles
- Energy efficiency projects that log trends through the control system
- Supervision of test and leak-check stations where a steady flow rate is part of the test condition
The intended medium is compressed air or neutral gas, and some units require oil-free compressed air. The 51 items in this group are manufactured in Italy, Germany, Taiwan, China and the USA.
