They come complete with push-in fittings. For the best results, the input pipe must have a straight section of at least 80 mm in length or more, otherwise the measurement will be inaccurate. They have two digital outputs and one analogue output, each of which can be freely set to measure the instantaneous flow rate, the accumulated flow rate or the pressure, therefore they can perform the function of flowmeter, flow switch, pressure gauge or pressure switch.

About Flowmeter

Flow meters record air consumption of single machines or of entire network sections and expose leakage before it shows up on the energy bill. The units run on compressed air and neutral gases at maximum operating pressures of 8 to 16 bar, and part of the range measures down to -0.9 bar into the vacuum region.

What matters when choosing

• Size BG 0 to 4 sets the measurable flow rate. Choose it from the actual consumption of the machine rather than from the pipe cross section.
• Thread and DN: female threads from G 1/2 to G 2, male threads from R 1/4 to R 2 and nominal widths DN 8 to 50 mm are available. Small consumers connect through the Ø 8 mm push-in port.
• Analogue or IO-Link version: analogue fits existing current-loop evaluation, IO-Link delivers reading and diagnostics straight to the controller.
• Series FLUX, FLUX 0 or FUTURA together with the function set: pure flow meters exist alongside combined units with switching output, pressure gauge, thermometer and pressure switch.
• Protection class and housing: IP 65 in an aluminium housing for the machine floor, IP 40 in a technopolymer housing for protected installation.
