Pressure switch changeover contact design, G 1/8, 2 m cable, adjustment range 0.5-10 bar, p1 = max. 15 bar, T = -10 to 50°C This type of pressure switch features a high degree of miniaturisation and a modern attractive design. It can be installed in any position and also mounted onto a wall by means of two transversal holes. In order to reduce wiring times, it is supplied ready assembled with a 2-metre electric cable or an M8 connector with a 300-mm cable. A changeover contact is built into the pressure switch. A knurled press-lock handle is provided for adjusting the pressure. ATEX version on request!

About Mechanically operated

Mechanically actuated pressure switches send an electrical signal as soon as the set pressure is reached or falls back below it, tying a pneumatic circuit into the control system. Contact function is available as changeover contact, normally open or normally closed. Connection is by G 1/8 and G 1/4, by M10x1.0 male or by flange.

What matters when choosing

• Function: changeover contact, normally open or normally closed, decided by the control logic and the behaviour wanted in the unpressurised state.
• Thread: G 1/8 male, G 1/4 male or G 1/4 female as well as M10x1.0 male, or the flange version for mounting onto blocks.
• Ingress protection: IP 65 to DIN 43650 or IP 67 with the M12x1 connector, according to moisture and cleaning at the mounting point.
• Housing and material: special die casting or technopolymer, with fittings in galvanised steel, brass, black anodised aluminium or plastic (PA 61/XT).
• Inlet pressure: some types are limited to 15 bar, which should be checked against line pressure before ordering.

Typical applications

• Monitoring line pressure in a compressed air supply
• Releasing clamping fixtures only once the required pressure is present
• Compressor and pump control from a single switching point
• Interlocking machine functions when pressure drops
• Signalling the controller when a clogged filter causes pressure to fall

The intended medium is filtered compressed air with or without lubrication, and lubricated air has to stay lubricated continuously. Sealing is by NBR and production takes place in Germany, Italy and Poland.
