Back pressure in the tank line falsifies the value that was dialled in. This size 25 version therefore routes the pilot drain out through a third port and keeps the limit between 3.8 and 315 bar steady even at 500 l/min.

Application

It belongs on power units with a return filter, a cooler or long tank lines. Residual pressure builds up there and should not reach the pilot circuit. Otherwise the valve performs the classic protection duty in the pump line.
