When system pressure collapses during the cycle, an internally fed pilot stage loses its actuating force. This version therefore draws pilot oil externally through X but drains it internally to tank, which saves the Y line. With 250 l/min nominal flow and internal main spool position feedback, the valve holds the command even when the cylinder load changes.

Typical duty is on presses and clamping systems whose pressure swings between rapid stroke and force build-up. External supply keeps the stroke time the same across the whole cycle. Pilot port X must be pressurised permanently, otherwise the main spool stays in its rest position.
