On presses and clamping fixtures a cylinder has to travel in both directions and hold a defined mid position. This pilot-operated directional spool valve in size 16 switches up to 300 l/min at a maximum operating pressure of 280 bar across three switching positions and four ports. Pilot oil is supplied and returned externally, which keeps the pilot pressure separate from the load pressure in the main line.

Applications

Typical installations are press controls, clamping hydraulics and machine tools that already have a separate pilot circuit. The subplate mounting to ISO 4401-07-07-0-05 allows an exchange against other size 16 valves without changing the piping. For systems with their own pilot pump, external supply and return of the pilot oil is the matching version.
