With an internally fed pilot stage, the valve becomes sluggish as soon as working pressure collapses. In this version the 4WRZE16W8-180 takes pilot oil externally at X and drains externally at Y, so the pilot stage works independently of the working circuit. It meters 180 l/min nominal at a limit of 460 l/min and 350 bar operating pressure.

Applications

It pays off on presses with a rapid stroke and force build-up, on forging hammers and on lifting gear with strongly varying load. A dedicated pilot circuit at constant pressure is the precondition for that advantage. Both channels X and Y must be carried in the subplate.
