Return line back pressure distorts the characteristic of an internally drained pilot stage. This size 32 valve avoids that by combining internal pilot oil supply with an external pilot oil return, so the pilot stage drains through its own line straight to tank. Applications

The configuration fits systems with a long return run, a return filter or an oil cooler, where measurable pressure sits at the tank port.
