On closed-loop axes the repeatability of the spool position decides the result. This pilot-operated valve measures the position of the main spool internally and holds it on the command value. Spool symbol W8 and size 25 on the ISO 4401-08-08-0-05 hole pattern give 220 l/min nominal flow and up to 870 l/min at a maximum operating pressure of 350 bar.

Applications

The valve belongs in axes whose position or velocity is governed by a higher level controller, for example test rigs, presses, forming lines and materials testing machines. Internal spool position feedback keeps the spool on the command value even when the load changes. A Y line has to be provided at the mounting point for the external pilot oil return, while pilot oil is supplied internally from the main circuit. With hydraulic fluid HL and FKM seals the valve suits common industrial hydraulics of size 25.
