When a large pump delivers into a circuit at 220 bar, the relief valve has to be able to discharge the full flow. Application

The place for this valve is the pump outlet of large power units on forming and assembly lines running at around 220 bar. The flow headroom keeps pressure close to the set point while discharging and so limits the load on the components. The solenoid switches the circuit without touching the value that was set.
