Circuits with widely swinging operating pressure need a dedicated source for the pilot stage. This symbol E valve works with external pilot oil supply and external pilot oil return, so it still meters its 520 l/min at up to 350 bar when system pressure is low.

Application

The typical setting is a system with accumulator operation or a load-sensing pump whose system pressure temporarily drops below the required pilot pressure. A separate pilot pump or a branched constant-pressure line then takes over the supply. The ISO 4401-10-09-0-05 interface is the same as on the internally supplied versions.
