In the downward rapid stroke a large press cylinder needs far more oil than the power unit can deliver, so it takes it from the reservoir. The size 125 SF prefill valve opens exactly that path with up to 3800 l/min, hydraulically actuated and rated to 350 bar.

Applications

The valve is fitted in hydraulic presses, forging plants and scrap shears with large cylinder volumes. It sits on the reservoir and connects it to the cylinder chamber during rapid traverse, then closes against system pressure in the working stroke. At 61 kg a lifting aid is required for installation and replacement.
