About Pressure sensors

A pressure sensor turns the pressure at the measuring point into an electrical signal the controller can read or use as a switching command. The sensors in this group screw in with a G 1/4 male thread and cover measuring ranges from 0 to 0.4 bar up to 0 to 25 bar. The housing is made of 316L stainless steel.

What matters when choosing

• Measuring range from 0 to 0.4 bar up to 0 to 25 bar: normal system pressure should sit well below the end value, otherwise resolution is lost and pressure peaks run off scale.
• Thread G 1/4 male is the same across the whole group. If the measuring point differs, an adapter or a matching fitting is used.
• Protection IP 65 and IP 67: choose IP 67 wherever splash water or short immersion has to be expected.
• Output signal and electrical connection: the types in this group have a PNP switching output with IO-Link and an M12x1 4-pin connector. IO-Link allows the sensor to be parameterised from the controller.
• Temperature limits: operating temperature -20 °C to 80 °C, medium temperature -30 °C to 100 °C. Both values have to match the measuring point, not only the ambient reading.

• Monitoring network pressure in compressed air systems and compressor rooms
• Limit switching on machines through the switching output
• Pressure measurement on pumps, filters and heat exchangers
• Plants using IO-Link, where readings and parameters travel over the fieldbus
• Test and leak-check benches with changing test pressures

Housing and wetted parts are 316L stainless steel, and protection is IP 65 or IP 67 depending on the version. Manufacturing takes place in Germany.
