Multipole valve terminal, 25-pin D-sub, 8 x 5/2-way single solenoid, M5 side ports on the base, 24 V DC - E.MC

Where 8 double-acting cylinders or grippers are switched from one point, this terminal replaces 8 individual valves and their supply tubing. The controller connects to the terminal through a single 25-pin D-sub connector instead of wiring each solenoid separately. Each station delivers around 230 l/min through its M5 ports.

Advantages

• One 25-pin D-sub connector for all 8 solenoids, swivelling by 90° for a vertical or horizontal cable exit.
• Only 0.8 W per solenoid at 24 V DC ±10 %, so 8 valves draw 6.4 W in total.
• Service life of at least 40 million cycles, valves with LED status indicator, each replaceable from above.
• M5 ports with a nominal cross-section of 5 mm² (Cv 0.28), around 230 l/min flow per station.
• Response time of 15 ms or less at 5 bar and up to 5 switching cycles per second per valve.

Applications

• Direct connection to the digital output cards of a PLC through a pre-assembled 25-pin cable.
• Small cylinders and grippers on thin tubing, for which 230 l/min per station is sufficient.
• Assembly cells with cylinders, grippers and rotary actuators served jointly by 8 valve positions.
• Installation under low covers, since the tubes leave sideways from the base plate rather than upwards.

Conversion and extension

The valves can be swapped for individually available valves with one or two solenoids or for blanking plates. Stations are counted from the electrical connection.
