IO-Link fieldbus valve terminal, 6 x 5/2-way single solenoid, M5 side ports on the base, 24 V DC - E.MC

On an 11.5 mm pitch this manifold carries 6 valve positions, all fitted with spring-return 5/2-way valves. A IO-Link bus module comes fitted, so the controller addresses every solenoid over the network. The M5 ports are located on the side of the base plate, and supply and common exhaust are connected through G 1/8. At 141.5 mm overall length the manifold fits into tight enclosures.

Advantages

• IO-Link bus module with M12, A-coded, port class B, module current draw below 25 mA.
• Diagnostics report communication faults, short circuit, wire break, reverse polarity and under- or overvoltage, and the output state on bus failure can be parameterised.
• M5 ports with a nominal cross-section of 5 mm² (Cv 0.28), around 230 l/min flow per station.
• Response time of 15 ms or less at 5 bar and up to 5 switching cycles per second per valve.
• Only 0.8 W per solenoid at 24 V DC ±10 %, so 6 valves draw 4.8 W in total.

Applications

• Decentralised valve group on an IO-Link master, connected by a single M12 cable to a class B port.
• Small cylinders and grippers on thin tubing, for which 230 l/min per station is sufficient.
• Small handling and test stations with 6 pneumatic axes in a confined space.
• Installation under low covers, since the tubes leave sideways from the base plate rather than upwards.

Conversion and extension

The valves can be swapped for individually available valves with one or two solenoids or for blanking plates. Stations are counted from the electrical connection.
