Compact slide, double-acting, 20 mm bore, 100 mm stroke, shock absorber at extend end - E.MC

Where a workpiece has to travel in a guided path within tight space, this compact slide replaces a cylinder and separate guide with one unit. Bore 20 mm, stroke 100 mm, load up to 40 N. The shock absorber at the extend end decelerates the load smoothly and doubles the permissible kinetic energy over the standard version to 0.26 J.

Applications

• Cross axis for transfer units moving parts between two stations over a longer distance, even with heavier loads or speeds close to 500 mm/s
• Feeding workpiece carriers or magazines with a guided motion
• Long stroke for tools or grippers where a cylinder with a separate guide would take up too much space

E.MC recommends meter-out speed control with a flow control valve, keeping speed below 500 mm/s. When mounting several slides side by side, leave at least 3 mm between them so the cylinder switches do not interfere with each other.

Accessories and spare parts

A matching repair kit is available for the 20 mm bore. Further stroke limiters with fixed stop or shock absorber can be added as retrofit kits. E.MC also offers matching cylinder switches for end position sensing via the magnetic piston.
