Compact slide, double-acting, 16 mm bore, 50 mm stroke, shock absorber at extend end - E.MC

Where a workpiece has to travel in a guided path within tight space, this compact slide replaces a cylinder and separate guide with one unit. Bore 16 mm, stroke 50 mm, load up to 30 N. The shock absorber at the extend end decelerates the load smoothly and doubles the permissible kinetic energy over the standard version to 0.2 J.

Advantages

Applications

• Lift or cross axis in pick-and-place units with a gripper or vacuum cup on the table, even with heavier loads or speeds close to 500 mm/s
• Positioning and inserting small parts in assembly stations
• Moving test heads or sensors to the workpiece in inspection fixtures

E.MC recommends meter-out speed control with a flow control valve, keeping speed below 500 mm/s. When mounting several slides side by side, leave at least 3 mm between them so the cylinder switches do not interfere with each other.

Accessories and spare parts

A matching repair kit is available for the 16 mm bore. Further stroke limiters with fixed stop or shock absorber can be added as retrofit kits. E.MC also offers matching cylinder switches for end position sensing via the magnetic piston.
