2/2-way solenoid valve, pilot-operated, brass, G 3/8, normally open, NBR seal, 12 V DC - E.MC

Switching large flows with a small coil: the diaphragm pilot-operated G 3/8 valve uses the line pressure to open a 15 mm orifice. It works at a differential of 0.5 to 10 bar. With no current the passage is open and only the energised coil shuts it. If power fails, the medium keeps flowing.

Advantages

• NBR seal: Standard seal for compressed air, water and oil up to 20 cSt.
• Brass body and IP65: class F coil insulation, watertight connector to DIN 40050.
• Serviceable: diaphragm and coil can be replaced individually while the body stays in the line.
• Large orifice, small coil: 15 mm orifice at just 10 W, thanks to diaphragm pilot operation.
• Flow: Cv 5.0 according to the E.MC datasheet, Kv 64 l/min.

Applications

• Shutting off G 3/8 compressed air feed lines upstream of machines or service units.
• Circuits that should stay open at rest or during a power failure, for example cooling or venting.
• General compressed air and water duty up to 80 °C media temperature.
• Note: in service the valve needs at least 0.5 bar differential and flow at the outlet. If the pressure equalises, it no longer switches reliably.

Accessories and spare parts

• Replacement coil type Z for 12 V DC, exchangeable without opening the line.
• Replacement diaphragms for G 3/8 and G 1/2 in NBR, FKM and EPDM, sold individually, also for changing the seal material.

The valve belongs to the E.MC ELP series and is supplied with coil and connector.
