5/3-way solenoid valve, pilot-operated, exhaust centre, G 1/4, 600 l/min, 24 V DC - E.MC

A 5/3-way valve drives a double-acting cylinder in both directions and decides what happens in the third position. The pilot-operated valve from the E.MC RV series switches with two 24 V DC coils and passes up to 600 l/min at its G 1/4 port. With neither coil energised, the spool sits in the centre position. Both working ports are then open to exhaust. The actuator is depressurised and can be pushed by hand.

Advantages

• Flow rate of 600 l/min at 3.9 mm nominal diameter and 12 mm² effective area (Cv 0.67), enough air for brisk strokes without the valve throttling them.
• Response time below 0.05 s and up to 3 cycles per second for cycled sequences.
• IP65 protection to DIN 40050 and insulation class F, each coil draws 3 W.
• Service life of at least 40 million switching cycles, roughly 11,000 operating hours at one cycle per second.

Applications

• Actuators that must be free of force while the machine is stopped, for example during maintenance.
• Medium-size cylinders in fixtures and feeders, piped in G 1/4.
• Direct control from PLC outputs at 24 V DC.

A matching 24 V DC replacement coil, type T1, is available separately. For wiring with plug-in connectors, E.MC lists connection cables in 0.3, 0.6 and 1 m lengths.
