5/3-way solenoid valve, pilot-operated, closed centre, G 1/2, 1350 l/min, 230 V AC - E.MC

Double-acting cylinders and rotary actuators need two working ports and, depending on the job, a clearly defined rest position. The pilot-operated valve from the E.MC RV series switches with two 230 V AC coils and passes up to 1350 l/min at its G 1/2 port. With neither coil energised, the spool sits in the centre position. All ports are then blocked, so the cylinder stops where the signal drops out, with air trapped in both chambers.

Advantages

• Flow rate of 1350 l/min at 6.2 mm nominal diameter and 30 mm² effective area (Cv 1.67), enough air for brisk strokes without the valve throttling them.
• Response time below 0.05 s and up to 3 cycles per second for cycled sequences.
• Operating pressure of 1.5 to 8 bar with a 12 bar test pressure, and the air does not need to be lubricated.
• Service life of at least 40 million switching cycles, roughly 11,000 operating hours at one cycle per second.

• Simple controls that run directly on 230 V AC without a power supply.
• Holding the piston position when both control signals drop out at the same time.
• Large-volume cylinders and rotary actuators that need 1350 l/min at a G 1/2 port.
