About Valves mechanically operated

Mechanically actuated directional valves report a position to a pneumatic control without any electrics in the field. They are tripped by the machine motion or by the workpiece itself, through a tappet or a roller lever. The group runs to 10 bar and delivers a flow rate of 450 to 550 l/min.

What matters when choosing

• Function 3/2 NC, 3/2 NO or 5/2: NC opens only when actuated, NO closes when actuated, and the 5/2 valve drives a double-acting cylinder directly.
• Connection M5 female at the side, G 1/8, G 1/4 or a push-in port Ø 4 mm at the side or at the rear. The rear port is meant for panel mounting, where the tubing stays behind the fascia.
• Min. operating pressure is 0 to 0.5 bar depending on version, max. operating pressure is 10 bar. Anyone working with low pilot pressure should check the minimum first.
• Flow rate of 450 to 550 l/min at DN 2.5 mm decides the switching time the driven cylinder can reach. For long pilot lines pick the higher figure.
• An operating temperature of -10 to 60 °C and NBR sealing narrow down where the valve can sit, for instance near ovens or in chilled areas.

Sealing is by NBR and part of the range belongs to the VME series. Manufacturing takes place in Italy and China.
