3/2-way valve low temperature, manual 90° lever, bistable, G 1/4, p = vacuum … 10 bar, T = -40 … 60 °C The series 70 low temperature valves in manually operated version with hand lever complement our range of traditional way valves of series 70. They represent a selection of the most commonly used manually operated way valves, which are manufactured with components for special low temperature applications. These valves are also suitable for use with vacuum.

About Valves manually operated

Manually actuated directional valves switch compressed air by hand, with no control signal and no electrics at the point of installation. They operate up to 10 bar and cover 3/2, 3/2 NC, 5/2 and 5/3 functions, which suits single-acting as well as double-acting actuators.

What matters when choosing

• Start with the function. 3/2 and 3/2 NC suit single-acting cylinders and blow-off duties, 5/2 suits double-acting cylinders, and 5/3 is the choice when the actuator has to stop in a mid position.
• Connections run from M5 and a 4 mm side push-in port through G 1/8, G 1/4 and G 3/8 up to G 1/2. Together with the nominal width of DN 2.5 to 7.5 mm this decides how much air actually arrives.
• Flow rates range from 450 to 1500 l/min. Short cycle times on larger cylinders call for the upper end of that range, while signalling and control duties are served by the lower end.
• Minimum operating pressure runs from -0.99 to 2.5 bar depending on the version. Applications that have to switch under vacuum need a version at the bottom of that range.
• The series defines design and accessories. Besides series 70 and series VME there are series PEV and the low-temperature version of series 70 for cold surroundings.

Seals are made of NBR and the specified medium is filtered compressed air, lubricated or unlubricated. Once lubrication is used it has to be maintained continuously.
