SMC Pneumatics
SMC drives comprise pneumatic actuators that convert compressed air into linear or rotary motion. The range extends from standard and ISO cylinders through compact, guide and rodless cylinders to rotary actuators and pneumatic grippers. More than 31,000 items are available in this section.
The cylinders are predominantly double-acting, as shown by the C(D)LQ series with locking unit and direct mounting. The programme is complemented by shock absorbers, stopper and clamping cylinders and signal transmitters for end-position sensing.
Categories
Pneumatic drives are used in assembly and handling technology, in packaging and special-purpose machinery and in automated production lines. The double-acting design enables active motion in both directions, while clamping and stopper cylinders take on holding and positioning functions.
