About Unions

Straight push-in connectors take the tube without tools, the gripping ring holds it and the release ring frees it again. That cuts assembly time on the tubing considerably and lets lines be swapped quickly during service. The group covers tube outside diameters from 3 to 16 mm, with working pressure up to 20 bar and down to -0.99 bar under vacuum.

What matters when choosing

  • Tube O.D.: the values 3 to 16 mm have to suit the tube in use. Reducing versions join two diameters, for example 4 to 6 mm or 10 to 12 mm.
  • Thread: metric from M8x0.75 male to M24x1.0 male. The size follows the port in the valve or cylinder, not the tube.
  • Series: Blaue Serie and Blaue Serie mini, click-clock, metallica, inox line and NonPlusUltra. The series differ in material and handling, and it pays to stay with one series within a machine.
  • Material and seal: nickel-plated brass, stainless steel 1.4404 or a combination of plastic and nickel-plated brass, sealed with NBR or FKM. For areas with food contact there is FKM in an FDA compliant version.
  • Medium and temperature: approved media are compressed air, neutral gases and liquids, oil and grease, plus corrosive media as far as the material allows. Operating temperature is -20 °C to 80 °C, and up to 150 °C on part of the range.
