Proportional control valve »posiflow« for air / gas / water / oil, 24 V DC, NC, G 1/8, DN 1.2, Operating pressure diff. max. 5 bar For electronic flow control. For all applications where the flow rate of a liquid or gas has to be controlled. The valve features a special magnet armature and is characterised by low friction and a high dynamic response. If the valve is combined with a plug amplifier: The maximum / minimum current and frequency can be adjusted by means of integrated potentiometers. A current ramp can also be connected and adjusted with a potentiometer. This facilitates a slow change in the flow rate, even if the setpoint changes suddenly. If the setpoint is < 200 mV (< 0.4 / 4.4 mA), the piloting current is completely switched off, causing the valve to be de-energised (tightly closed function). We recommend combining these proportional valves with a plug amplifier. About Proportional control valves

Proportional valves set pressure or flow continuously from an electrical setpoint instead of only switching between open and closed. The group covers nominal sizes DN 1.2 to 8 mm on G 1/8, G 1/4 and G 3/8 threads. Some valves control pressure across 0 to 10 bar, others control flow.

What matters when choosing

• Decide on the controlled variable first: the pressure regulators are 3-way designs rated for a working pressure of 0 to 10 bar, the flow regulators are normally closed and are sized via the maximum differential pressure.
• DN 1.2 to 8 mm together with the flow rate of 470, 780 or 1750 l/min. Nominal size governs how much air passes when the valve is open and therefore the dynamics of the control loop.
• Thread G 1/8, G 1/4 or G 3/8 to suit the existing pipework. Within this group the larger nominal sizes come with the larger threads.
• Medium: part of the range is released for air, neutral gases, water and oil, the rest for air or neutral gases only, filtered to 50 µm, lubricated or unlubricated.
• Seal material FKM or NBR and housing in brass, aluminium or PA. FKM widens media compatibility, the housing material follows the installation environment and the permitted medium temperature of -10 to 0 °C at the low end and 50 to 90 °C at the top.
