About Male hose fittings

A screw-in hose connector puts a threaded port on a soft hose, which slides over the barb and is held by a clamp. It is the simplest joint where no push-in fitting is required and the hose stays permanently installed. Working pressure is 25 to 60 bar depending on the version.

What matters when choosing

• The thread follows the port. Parallel G threads run from G 1/8 to G 1, tapered R threads from R 1/8 to R 3/4, and M5 is available for small ports.
• Barb size follows the inside diameter of the hose and is the second configuration axis next to the thread. It has to match the hose, not the thread size.
• Brass CW614N is the default material. Electroplated nickel-plated brass CW614N suits humidity and visible installation, stainless steel 1.4571 corrosive media.
• Working pressure covers 25 to 60 bar, and part of the range additionally carries a 60 bar operating pressure rating. Allow a margin where pressure surges occur.
• Maximum operating temperature is either 80 °C or 150 °C. For steam and hot oil, only the versions with the higher rating apply.
